The first street legal flying car is here

Above is the next model. Here is the current one, fully legal ready to drive and fly. We need to all recycle our cars and get these!

In this image is the next generation of the flying car that is already for sale now

  1. But those same people who can't drive, will crash their planes into people's houses, playgrounds, buildings, etc.!

  2. didn't they dismiss this idea when the first floating cars were invented in the nineties , I mean common the stupidity behind car accidents , it would not be safe to walk down the road the general public is far to stupid to become willy nilly pilots , best left with those with pilots licence and the intelligence to not drink, text, speed or any other stupid activity demonstrated by all car drivers

    1. You would obviously be required to have a commercial flying license along with you driving licsence so you would be sble to fly safely there would also have to be designated landing locations

    2. Nope, just a light sport pilots license. and the designated landing areas would be airports.

  3. Cars that safely drive on the road by themselves are here already. The same technology could be used to make flying cars a safe mode of transportation. No one would be driving them themselves.

  4. Governments won't let flying cars happen. Flying cars would provide too much freedom and power to the public.

    Hello border patrol.

    Hello Area 51.

    Hello Army training facilities.

It's a lot easier to stop a car on the road.

  6. Nice concept but I seriously doubt this will never achieve the level of use it tries to represent. If anything it will be treated the same as any airplane, with the same regulations and restrictions. The fact that it can be driven as a car will have no real significance. Besides, something like this will only open the door to too many possibilities of misuse and accidents for this to ever become an available form of transportation to anyone with the money to afford it. If you think pressure cookers can be used as a device to kill people, what do you think something like this would do in the hands of U.S.A. haters? This nothing but someone's pipe dream. Dream on.....

  8. This really is just a plane with folding wings.

The first video depicts an actual vertical takeoff and landing vehicle where you could literally park it in the driveway, thus not requiring an airfield. I don't think they'll let you drive fast enough to achieve lift, so calling this "street legal" is kind of bs.

  9. Check out the Moller flying car. He's been trying to do this for years. Part of his concept is to have "skyways" that are computer controlled. Once in the air you wouldn't actually fly yourself. The computer would take over link with a network and take you where you needed to go. Unfortunately we'll never see this. Do you really believe the airlines would allow the FAA to certify anything that would hurt their business?

    1. You obviously don't know how the FAA and regulations work. We will never have mollers vision for the same reason we will always have pilots in the cockpit of airliners. The Terrafugia is already certified and flying. So guess it's a reality.
